Goldberg<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"dropcap dropcap3\">A<\/span>lltf\u00f6r ofta har kristna kommentatorer tolkat Bergspredikan som en demonstration av Jesu undervisnings \u00f6verl\u00e4gsenhet i j\u00e4mf\u00f6relse med rabbinernas, Kristi lags f\u00f6retr\u00e4de framf\u00f6r Mose lag eller, \u00e4nnu mera burdust uttryckt, kristendomens f\u00f6retr\u00e4de framf\u00f6r judendomen.<\/p>\n<p>Idag \u00e4r \u00e5sikterna mera nyanserade, men den f\u00f6rh\u00e4rskande synen \u00e4r att Jesus avvek fr\u00e5n sin tids vedertagna uppfattning och t.o.m. gick s\u00e5 l\u00e5ngt att han genom att erbjuda substitut avvek fr\u00e5n grundsatser i Torah (Lagen).<\/p>\n<p>Detta kan synas vara ett rimligt antagande med bakgrund av de sex g\u00e5nger Jesus f\u00e4llde kontrasterande yttranden inledda med orden \u201dni har h\u00f6rt att det \u00e4r sagt\u201d och avslutade med \u201d[men] jag s\u00e4ger er\u201d. Ett exempel: \u201dNi har h\u00f6rt att det \u00e4r sagt: \u2019\u00d6ga f\u00f6r \u00f6ga och tand f\u00f6r tand\u2019. Jag s\u00e4ger er: St\u00e5 inte emot den som \u00e4r ond, utan om n\u00e5gon sl\u00e5r dig p\u00e5 den h\u00f6gra kinden, s\u00e5 v\u00e4nd ocks\u00e5 den andra \u00e5t honom\u201d (Matt. 5:38-39).<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f6r den vanlige lyssnaren\/l\u00e4saren, som \u00e4r omedveten om den judiska kontexten, antyder detta och \u00f6vriga fem liknande yttranden att en \u00e4ldre, underl\u00e4gsen, felaktig, ogiltig eller t.o.m. osann norm har ersatts av n\u00e5got b\u00e4ttre.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e5ste det f\u00f6rh\u00e5lla sig p\u00e5 det viset?<\/p>\n<h2>Att vidmakth\u00e5lla eller kullkasta<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"dropcap dropcap3\">E<\/span>tt av problemen med denna traditionella tolkning uppenbarar sig redan i b\u00f6rjan av Bergspredikan. Jesus inleder serien av kontrastyttranden med orden: \u201dTro inte att jag har kommit f\u00f6r att upph\u00e4va lagen eller profeterna. Jag har inte kommit f\u00f6r att upph\u00e4va utan f\u00f6r att fullborda\u201d (5:17). Hans syfte var att vidmakth\u00e5lla lagen och profeterna och att handla i enlighet d\u00e4rmed.<\/p>\n<p>Vissa kristna kommentatorer siktar in sig p\u00e5 ordet \u201dfullborda\u201d. De h\u00e4vdar att Jesus genom korsf\u00e4stelsen fullbordade lagens upps\u00e5t, blev det fullkomliga offret f\u00f6r m\u00e4nsklighetens alla synder, avskaffade templets offersystem och d\u00e4rmed hela lagen. Betydelsen av termen \u201dfullborda\u201d \u00e4ndras p\u00e5 s\u00e5 vis fr\u00e5n ett handlingsm\u00f6nster eller leverne i enlighet med lagen som vidmakth\u00e5ller denna, till att beteckna en enstaka handling som uppn\u00e5r ett m\u00e5l och eliminerar allt framtida behov av lagen.<\/p>\n<p>Trots att m\u00e5nga kristna skulle s\u00e4ga \u201damen\u201d till denna uppfattning st\u00e5r den i bj\u00e4rt kontrast mot de inledande orden \u201dtro inte att jag har kommit f\u00f6r att upph\u00e4va lagen\u201d. Resultatet skulle helt enkelt bli en mots\u00e4gelse: \u201dJag har inte kommit f\u00f6r att upph\u00e4va lagen, utan f\u00f6r att upph\u00e4va lagen.\u201d Och sj\u00e4lva k\u00e4rnpunkten, s\u00e5 som den inledningsvis formulerades av Jesus, var att inte upph\u00e4va lagen.<\/p>\n<h2>Det ursprungliga bruket<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"dropcap dropcap3\">E<\/span>tt annat problem \u00e4r att Jesu tidiga efterf\u00f6ljare \u201dalla h\u00f6ll str\u00e4ngt p\u00e5 lagen\u201d under l\u00e5ng tid efter korsf\u00e4stelsen. N\u00e4r det ryktades att Paulus l\u00e4rde judar att inte f\u00f6lja lagen (ett rykte som m\u00e5nga \u00e4n idag s\u00e4tter tilltro till) bad f\u00f6rsamlingsledningen i Jerusalem honom att f\u00e5 slut p\u00e5 anklagelserna genom att offentligt bekr\u00e4fta att \u00e4ven han sj\u00e4lv h\u00f6ll stilen och f\u00f6ljde lagen \u2013 vilket han accepterade (Apg. 21:20-26). Uppenbarligen hade de som f\u00f6ljt Jesu undervisning p\u00e5 n\u00e4ra h\u00e5ll en helt annan uppfattning \u00e4n senare generationers icke-judiska utl\u00e4ggare av Nya Testamentet.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus sade: \u201dSannerligen s\u00e4ger jag er: Innan himmel och jord f\u00f6rg\u00e5r, skall inte en enda jota, inte en prick i lagen f\u00f6rg\u00e5, f\u00f6rr\u00e4n allt har skett\u201d (v. 18). Ordet \u201djota\u201d syftar p\u00e5 den minsta bokstaven i det hebreiska alfabetet, yod, vilken liknar en apostrof. \u201dPrick\u201d avser skrivarens dekorativa f\u00f6rl\u00e4ngning eller gracila extrastreck \u00f6verst p\u00e5 vissa av Skriftens hebreiska bokst\u00e4ver.<\/p>\n<p>Med andra ord p\u00e5stod han att inte ens lagens (eller profeternas) allra mest h\u00e5rfina detalj, en enstaka bokstav eller en del av en s\u00e5dan, kommer att f\u00f6rg\u00e5 innan den Yttersta Tiden \u00e4r inne. Ett klart och entydigt besked. H\u00e4r st\u00e5r Jesus f\u00f6r en specificering och noggrannhet visavi lagen och profeterna som \u00e4r raka motsatsen till ers\u00e4ttningsteologernas metodologi.<\/p>\n<p>Det r\u00e5der inget tvivel om att Jesus, jude av f\u00f6dseln, bejakade efterlevnaden av Mose lag som en av Gud anbefalld livsstil. Han sade: \u201dDen som d\u00e4rf\u00f6r upph\u00e4ver ett av dessa minsta bud och l\u00e4r m\u00e4nniskorna s\u00e5, han skall kallas den minste i himmelriket. Men den som h\u00e5ller dem och l\u00e4r m\u00e4nniskorna dem, han skall kallas stor i himmelriket\u201d (Matt. 5:19). Det var inte f\u00f6rr\u00e4n senare som f\u00f6rsamlingsledningen i Jerusalem ins\u00e5g att Jesu icke-judiska efterf\u00f6ljare borde undantas fr\u00e5n de flesta buden (Apg. 15;20; 21:25).<\/p>\n<h2>Den bortgl\u00f6mda judiska kontexten<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"dropcap dropcap3\">J<\/span>esus v\u00e4nde sig till judiska \u00e5h\u00f6rare, f\u00f6r vilka hans ord i vers 18 m\u00e5ste ha k\u00e4nts mycket v\u00e4lbekanta. Kanske till m\u00e5nga kristna l\u00e4sares f\u00f6rv\u00e5ning (eller t.o.m. f\u00f6rf\u00e4ran) citerade Jesus faktiskt ett v\u00e4lk\u00e4nt t\u00e4nkespr\u00e5k fr\u00e5n en popul\u00e4r midrash, rabbinsk skriftutl\u00e4ggning, i det h\u00e4r fallet n\u00e4rmast en \u201dmoralpredikan\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00e4rnpunkten i denna fantasirika midrash \u00e4r f\u00f6ljande: Bokstaven yod fr\u00e5n det hebreiska ordet \u201dyarbeh\u201d, med betydelsen \u201dskaffa sig ett \u00f6verfl\u00f6d\u201d (5 Mos. 17:17), kom till himlen f\u00f6r att inf\u00f6r Gud protestera mot att Salomo demonterade Torahn bokstav f\u00f6r bokstav. Hans \u00e5sidos\u00e4ttande av det kungliga regelverket, t.ex. f\u00f6rbudet mot att \u201dskaffa sig en m\u00e4ngd hustrur\u201d, hotade lagen som helhet. Gud svarade yod: \u201dSalomo och tusen som han skall f\u00f6rg\u00e5, men den minsta prick skall inte utraderas [fr\u00e5n Torahn]\u201d (Shemot Rabbah 6:2). Andemeningen i denna midrash \u00e4r tydlig: Lagens minsta detalj skall best\u00e5. De som motarbetar den, kommer att g\u00e5 under, \u00e4ven om de \u00e4r lika m\u00e4ktiga och visa som Salomo.<\/p>\n<p>Genom att citera ber\u00e4ttelsen om yod (jotan) och pricken klarlade Jesus eftertryckligen att lagen kommer att best\u00e5, \u00e5tminstone tills himmel och jord upph\u00f6r att existera. Som varje l\u00e4sare kan intyga \u00e4r himmel och jord fortfarande inte \u00f6verspelade. F\u00f6r Jesus var denna best\u00e4ndighet, uttryckt i de rabbinska utl\u00e4ggningarna, en absolut sanning. L\u00e4gg m\u00e4rke till hans ord \u201d<strong>sannerligen<\/strong> s\u00e4ger jag er\u201d, efter vilka han \u00f6verg\u00e5r till att citera midrashen.<\/p>\n<p>L\u00e5t oss \u00e5terv\u00e4nda till fr\u00e5gan om Jesu avsikt. Avs\u00e5g han att \u00e4ndra Mose lag, fr\u00e5n \u201d\u00f6ga f\u00f6r \u00f6ga\u201d till \u201dv\u00e4nda andra kinden till\u201d? Med h\u00e4nsyn tagen till den judiska kontexten h\u00e4vdar jag att svaret m\u00e5ste bli ett rungande \u201dnej\u201d. Hur b\u00f6r man i s\u00e5 fall f\u00f6rst\u00e5 kontrasten mellan \u201dni har h\u00f6rt att det \u00e4r sagt\u201d och \u201djag s\u00e4ger er\u201d, vilken antyder ett utbyte?
